Unit 2 Topic work for week beginning 6.7.20
Sustainable home learning and play
Now that you have completed your Rainforests topic, we have found lots of fun-filled activities that you can do outside. The first document ‘Sustainable home learning – Green fingers’ has a page for Early Years, Lower Primary and Upper Primary. Have a look and see which activities you would like to do. You can choose from any of those sections – once you’ve chosen an activity, there may be a link to click on to give you more details of the task.
Will you choose to create a garden fit for fairies, give new descriptive names to plants (possibly even with a back story like JK Rowling did in Harry Potter) or design and make your own plastic planter from your recycling? If none of these appeal to you, there are many more to choose from.
The second document ‘Sustainable home learning – Loose parts’ again has a range of activities for you to choose from such as Ball Run Bonanza! This captured our interest and we suspect it will appeal to many of you (and possibly your parents too – either that or they will be cursing us when they are tripping over various objects and obstacles that you’ve set up around your house and garden) To inspire you (and your parents) we have found some great examples of ball runs – see document on webpage for the links to the videos.
We look forward to seeing what you do.
