Hi all,
Please find the homework below and complete as many calculations as you can in 30 minutes. I have added the steps to success down below for you to use and follow. Remember, if you follow the steps, you will be able use the method.
Steps to success for multiplying 2-digit numbers by 2-digit numbers:
1. Line up the numbers in the correct place value column.
2. First multiply the number on top by the ones of the bottom number
3. Put 0 as a place holder.
4. Multiply the top number by the tens from the bottom number.
5. Add your two answers together.
In addition, below is a link to a video that has broken the method down even more. If you use this video, please stop watching at 7m23s. You will notice that the video starts at 5m14s, this is purposeful as you do not need the first 5 minutes for the questions that you are doing.
