Unit 3 and SATs Maths Method help sheet

Year 5 homework due in 25th February. As this will be over 2 weeks the children have 2 tasks to complete. Remember the rule in the place value column you are looking at 0-4 you round down, 5 - 9 you round up. In the first piece of work complete only 2 pages. The questions in the second piece of work are numbered.

Year 5 homework due in 11th February. Year 6 should complete Mrs vanGameren's homework unless I have given you a separate sheet.

Year 5 homework only. Year 6 should complete Mrs vanGameren's unless I have given you a sheet. There are 3 different levels just pick one sheet to complete. Please use the method at the top of the page. Divide the whole number by the denominator then multiply by the numerator. If you have trouble please come and see me and we'll talk it through.

Year 5 homework due in 28th January. Complete 1 page from each pack. You can choose your level. Remember when multiplying fractions you do not need to convert just multiply the numerators (top numbers) together then multiply the denominators (bottom numbers) together. Year 6 should complete Mrs vanGameren's homework unless I have given you an alternative.

Homework due in 21st January. YEAR 6 SHOULD COMPLETE MRS vanGAMEREN'S HOMEWORK UNLESS I HAVE GIVEN YOU A SHEET. Year 5 - your homework is to add fractions with different denominators. There is a help sheet above this link with the method laid out but remember to write down the times tables of the denominators, convert each fraction to the same denominator, don't forget to do the same with the numerators and then only add the numerators together.

Homework due in 14th January 2026. Please note from this point on the homework posted here is only for Year 5. Year 6 should complete Mrs vanGameren's homework unless I have printed a sheet for you. If you are unsure please ask.

Homework due on 12th November. Please focus on questions 1 - 6. Only work for 30 minutes. This homework is for those children I have not given an individual print out to.

Homework due 5th November 2025

The children have been given individual sheet this week.  Please complete and stick in your homework books.  I have not uploaded the answers as the sheets are differentiated and this may cause confusion.  Please only work for 30 minutes.  If your sheet asks for counters please use what you have available they do not need to be all the same item just a group of objects.

Homework due 22nd October.

The children have been given a print out of their homework this week.  I will not be uploading answers as the homework is differentiated and this may cause confusion.  The children should only work at this for 30 minutes, I will attach an additional sheet here to only be used if your child has completed their given task early and would like to challenge themselves.  Please Dojo me if you are unsure.

Thanks,

Miss F
